Giant Seersucker Dress

This version of the Frill Dress is made from a striking giant seersucker — a beautiful blend of natural cotton and linen fibres. Originally a natural shade, I hand-dyed the fabric into this rich, deep chocolate brown.

There are no frills on this piece. The sleeves are short and wide, finished with generous cuffs for a strong, clean silhouette. Hidden details in bright orange cotton poplin add an unexpected layer of character: in-seam pockets, neckline facing, and a single vivid button at the back neck opening.

That orange button is especially dear to me — it comes from my grandmother’s old tin of buttons, the one I used to play with as a child. Somehow, it’s been with me all this time.
